Fan Shroud Connection to Radiator

I replaced the air filter today on my 2014 Silverado 1500 CC std box 5.3 and noticed that the top of my fan shroud was not attached to the radiator. The shroud is basically leaning back towards the engine.There is place on the radiator and holes on both sides of the shroud for a connection, but both are missing. Was this GM's intent or did both of the screws vibrate loose and fall out? Can you guys check your trucks and report back? Attached is a pic of my condition from the driver side. I did check GM Parts Direct for a diagram of the shroud assembly and there are no screws/attachment options shown in the diagram.

My hubby is a mechanic. He says that most likely GM messed up and didn't put the screws in and that you need to take it in and have them put them in.
