1500 upgrade

I have a 01 k1500 and was wanting to know if you can put k2500 upper and lower control arms to swap knuckle for 8 lug wheel patter also wanting to know if my cv shaft will work with 2500 wheel bearings I have a donor truck with messed up frame and swapping out motor transmission and rear axel to my truck or if any one has done this or ran into problems and help would be much appreciated

Why not just get wheel adapters. As long as you don't get cheap ones and the 6 lug threads don't go past the surface of then adapter where the wheel touches it then you won't have anything to worry about.

Didn't think of that but won't the wheel adapters wear out my ball joints faster

What they may wear out faster would be the wheel bearings. But, as long as you don't get adapters with a huge thickness (maybe 1"-1 1/2") then it won't be any different than getting low offset rims that stick out. At least that's what I figure.

I don't think they'll fit anyways. Is your front differential the same gear ratio though as this new rear axle? If not many many problems ahead of you if you go through with install.

As long as I swap over the front to same ratio I should be fine right
