fuse box

hey guys. my 99 silverado 1500 new body style is currently in the shop recieving a completely new under hood fuse box. what was happening is my brake and reverse lights were staying on even with vehicle off. they replaced just that circuit but it did not fix problem so now they are replacing entire box. has anyone ever seen this or does anyone have any suggestions as to why this happened. the service writer said it was caused by feedback into the box nut he is a service writer not a tech so i do not know whether to believe him or not. if it is somethig like that shouldn't the cause be discovered also so it will not happen again especially when out of warranty (6000 miles left) any ideas would be great. i have a full stereo system but that has been in since 99so i do not think it was that.

thaks ahead and sorry for long post

First off... That is a good lookin' truck!!!

Second, I don't know what could cause your problem, and I haven't seen or heard of anyone having something like that happen. I would have that it would be the BCM (body control module) before the fuse block, but the electronics in these new trucks are pushing my limits of understanding... LOL!!! :D
