I have a 1991 chevy Cheyenne 4.3 v6 when I got up a hill the trucks motor seems like the trucks to heavy if I get a running start at 70mph buy the time I get to the top I'm between 40 and 50 the only problem that i know of is the y pipe leaks

It's probably just tired. It's a 4.3, so dont expect miracles out of it. It has a reputation as a gutless wonder

Id look into fixing your cats (the y-pipe), and doing a full tune-up (plugs, wires, distributor, oil and filter, fuel filter, air filter, pcv, adjusting valve lash, and run 3m fuel system tune up kit through it)
