2004 V6 Manual transmission questions

Looking at buying a used 2004 Silverado 1500 4.3L V6 with a 5 speed manual transmission. I've only had the automatic 5.3L packages in the past and had zero problems with them. How reliable is this V6 and transmission? Any info and advice much appreciated!

We normally don't see a lot of these vehicles come in the dealership, but some do come in from time to time. The only transmission problem we ever have out of them is an easy fork adjustment or just flushes. I don't do the transmission work, one of the other techs do. But very seldom do we ever see these. As far as the engine, it is a 5.3 with the front two cylinders missing. It is a great engine.
