Delay in USB-IPOD connection, bad sound quality

Hey everyone. I've had my '17 LT for a couple of months now and have noticed when my IPOD is plugged into the USB ports in the center console there is an annoying clicking, static-like noise. I've tried many different cables with the same results.

 

I've also noticed when it's plugged in through USB there is a huge delay when changing songs, whether it be through steering wheel or dash controls. Anybody else experiencing something similar? When I run the IPOD through Bluetooth there is no issue with sound quality and no delay.

I would just use it through Bluetooth but I love using the handfree controls when it's plugged in thorough USB to tell it to play a certain song or artist.

I have the same exact issue with my '15 LTZ when plugged in via USB but no issues with Bluetooth. I also have an issue with Pandora where is losses connectivity to the app while plugged in. I am waiting to take it back into the dealer to troubleshoot the USB ports, as if it's below 52 degrees, the USB flash drive I have with music on will not work unless i reseat the USB. Stealership mentioned there might be a service bulletin on it. However I have not had time to get the truck back in there.
