2014 Silverado WT2 Radio Screen dead

Hey guys, just recently my 2014 silverado wt2 radios screen started flickering then a few days later it just went black. I took it off and checked connections on back and all seems good. Buttons all function properly just screen is black.

 

I'm wondering if anyone has had this happen to them? Dealership said it may need renprograming, which I'll have to pay for.

 

Also I'm thinking of doing the upgrade to. Offer screen. I noticed I have io4 and there's plugins not used behind my screen. The WT 2 has nav with onstar, and hands free as well as LTE upgrade added. How hard would it be to do this upgrade to the 8" with the new IO firmware?
