I disconnected my battery a couple of weeks ago when I was cleaning my throttle body and mass air flow sensor. Since then, the mode actuator is out sorts and won't blow out of the front vents. I've tried removing the HVAC fuses and leaving them out, put ting the ignition on to run and allowing the actuators to try and reset. I even tried disconnecting the battery again while also removing said fuses. Is there anything else I can try before I bring it to the dealership? Also, is there something I should have done to prevent this from happening? Seems to be a fairly common occurrence/problem with this model from what I can gather. Would removing the PCM's have any connection to this

Disconnect the Negative Battery Cable for apprx 2 minutes
Reconnect the Negative Battery Cable & follow the below "exactly"

Do not adjust any controls on the HVAC control module while the HVAC control module is self-calibrating. If interrupted, improper HVAC performance will result.

  • Place the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  • Connect all previously disconnected components.
  • Remove the HVAC/ECAS fuse for a minimum of 10 seconds .
  • Install the HVAC/ECAS fuse.
  • Start the vehicle.
  • Wait 40 seconds for the HVAC control module to self-calibrate.

If the above did not work, use of Dealer Scan Tool will be needed to Test & Recalibrate
apprx 1/2 hour labor
