Kyle - I'm determined to get Auto Climate Control in my 2015 Silverado I just picked up.   Thanks for the detail on how you were able to accomplish this.  I have everything on order now, down to the molex connectors that are needed in your description above.  What I cannot find is the wiring diagram of the X1/X2/X3/X4 connectors into the Control Module.   Can you please let me know where you found that so I can grab it .   BTW, my new control module 13591693 has J1,J2,J3,J4 not the X....   I assume your had it as well?  And the driver upper and lower duct temp sensors - where did you mount them?

You have to find them in the upfitter electrical wiring manual which is free online, the J should correspond to the X fittings, they will just be listed as X in the manual. If you give me some time I can try and find the specific wiring diagrams related to the connectors.

Not sure if this link will work, but this is it:

Hello Kyle,

I am interested in the HVAC mod for my 2017 WT Double Cab (midnight edition).

The truck has the light sensor in the dashboard. Would I need the additional sensor?

Will it mount along side of the existing sensor? Also I have purchased the HVAC control

for a 2017 High Country  #84173748 w/ATC. I installed it and it has full "manual function" with

the exception of the last blower Icon being active on the IOB 7" screen. It looks like the Dash Sensor

and Temp sensor are the same Part Numbers as your install. The ATC Module I am purchasing is part number

84237325 also for a 2017 High Country with ATC. Would you be willing to assemble the required plug ends and terminal

wire harness for me. I have trouble with the crimping operation due to nerve damage in my hands. I will of course pay

for everything and your time. I have successfully installed the "Heated Wheel" upgrade along with Pgambola wire harness.

My next mod after the HVAC ATC will be the conversion from my "IOB" 7" infotainment center to the "Denali Cluster". It looks like

I'll have to replace the entire HDMI, Screen, Radio etc to realize the Denali upgrade.

Also are there specific markings for the temp sensor for the ducting such as a circle or molding mark for install?

Thank you for any assistance and information you are willing to share.

Love your engine mods on your truck and your vids. I sadly have the lowly 4.3L in my truck that will stay stock.

First off want to say thank you for all this way to knock it out of the park. I have a 17 Silverado are the part numbers the same? I know gm likes to use the same modules for what seams to be decades but when I'm looking up the part numbers I see that they seam to end at 15 for year range

    • We drove about 15 minute east today to visit a friend and saw a steep increase in price in the same county. About 50 cents a gallon steepper.
    • Sure about that? A degree wheel and a dial indicator would lower your degree of assurance in that statement. 😉    It why we have offset keys and dialable timing sprockets. Just say'n.... I've built a few and have never seen one "On the money".
    • I will admit I haven't experimented much with pressure drops beyond the numbers I put in and part of that is that the numbers I used are fairly low and then found out it would trigger regardless at that 35 psi. Having said that I had tried before had changed the placard pressures and being that I have a 1 ton set to 80 on the placard for the rear I believe it triggered close to 60, the front I don't recall now for sure but thought maybe it could get close to 45 from that factory 60 placard pressure. So I never did figure out if it was a number of psi from placard pressure to the alarm or a percentage of the total placard number as some figured it was like a 25% drop from placard pressure would trigger it. So as to try and answer your question, I believe I set the placard pressure on the front to 47 or so and while I run the front tires at 40, they have dipped below that some if its colder and I haven't put "winter air" in yet and never once have had the front alarm go off. I would say that the answer your looking for is no, that if you set your placard pressure to 45, you have a certain amount of room to drop below that pressure before the alarm will go off.    The pressures you decide to run in your truck, that ends up being what makes sense to you based on what your carrying in your truck or if towing, then have to bump them back up to something that will carry the load in the rear and the fronts typically left at the same pressure. It all comes down to that chart I put the link to and using an accurate roadside scale to be your guide, both unloaded and then loaded to know your minimum safe pressures.    I just wish GM would allow a person to change the readings for the tire pressures to the English system of pounds as I have to look at that goofy metric reading that will never ever jive in my head and will go over and change it just to figure out what they are if need be and then change it back.
    • That part I understand, that the dealer can do it. But I'm not understanding why updates that were available to the truck since it left the factory, or the dealership originally, would not still be available to it without dealer intervention.   I'm thinking along the lines of recalls. They stay available until they are completed, regardless of whether they are in warranty or not, or in the hands of the original owner or not. Why not updates as well, especially since some of those can be safety related also?
    • That's good to know, but I don't think I'll even be running them under 45 in the rear  unless it's on the sand or something but will only be for a short distance anyways!    I didn't read all the instructions in the booklet yet, but do you know let's say I set the rear psi on the placard to 45, will the warning light come on soon as it drops under 45 or is there a percentage it has to drop from the set value before the warning light is triggered?
