Extremely high idle

I bought a 2001 gmc sierra 5.3l slt. It has an extremely high idle (3000 rpm) in park and neutral. In drive it drops to 1000. Have replaced tps and aic both. Cleaned the TB just to be safe also. After all of this I still have a high idle no change at all. Not suse where to go next. Sprayed the intake and no change in idle speed

Code P0507 which is generic for aic on this vehicle. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Only 80k miles on the truck so worth the money to fix it as I bought it dirt cheap

Cable throttle body or electronic?

2001 should have a cable for the throttle, check and see if its not too tight and holding the butterfly valve open slightly.

It is a cable and the cable has slack in it. Could it be possible that the idle in the ecm needs to be relearn ed? I have not put this truck on the road yet so putting a 44 mile drive cycle on it isn't an option right now

Did you find out what was causing the high idle ? I have same issue
