$100.15 for Chevy logos!

I went to the stealership and purchased some Chevy logos (2 side logos that say 1500, and the rear logos that say silverado and chevrolet). All together it cost $100.15 for the four. All I wanted to do was remove the writing across the back that says "chevrolet" and replace it with a more inconspicuous look. It does look alot better and it was easy to do, but 100 bucks... rediculous.

Being a fellow base model owner I was going to do the same thing until I saw the price tag, too much for me. I ended up removing all the decals on the truck and it looks a lot better. In fact most guys w/ the chevy emblems end up taking those off. I bet someone would just give there's away to you, all you'd need to do is get some 3m double sided tape to affix them.

Yea, but I'll admit I'm not cheap. I'd rather run by the dealer and pay a little (probably alot) more than to find someone that has some used ones. Just be too much trouble to cut tape to fit the logos that would probably end up falling off anyway. I removed all my decals (chevrolet across the back and 1500's on the sides) but I didn't like how it looked; it reminded me of the true base models that don't even have trim, let alone any logos. Now it looks like I have somewhat of a LS or LT.

Hey btw Chevy4x4, you said you have a base model yet you have a LT Silverado CD player and console? Did you get that installed by the dealer, if so, how much was it for the stereo and the console?

Yes, I've been a busy boy. It's a base model, very few options. I picked up the cd player from a fellow forum member and ripped out the center seat and installed a console. Next big project after the body lift is to install Power windows, locks, and mirrors.

I've got A/C, I just never use it, I can stand the heat. Besides what do you need air conditioning for? Are you scared to roll down the window and let people see you?

here we go 70mph, so that would be very noisy. when im in the city i have the window down sometimes tho

Yeah I never use my a/c either, even here in the hellish desert at 120 degrees, just open the windows and go. I drive with my windows open a lot, it could be 120 out or 25 out, there at least somewhat open.

I drive with my windows down sometimes, but my a/c is always on. Even if it's 30 degrees out, my a/c will eventually go on, after the heater kicks in and takes out the cold.
