running board lighting

ok, i hate to have to ask this/bring it up again, BUT:

Ive just spent the last hour looking thru this sub-forum and others in the 1500 forums and havent found an exact answer. Seem those that did this mod to their trucks its been so long ago, their photobucket account pics cant be displayed anymore, so here are my 2 questions about running board lights:

1. Drivers side i came thru the boot where the e-brake comes into the cab to get the wire under the truck, on the passenger side, where the heck did you guys come thru to get it into the cab?

2. Which wire is it that i'm supposed to tap into that allows those lights to come on when the door is opened, when the unlock button is pressed on remote, and i'm assuming come on whenever the dome lite comes on?

Sorry for bringing this back up, but this 2017 is so different from my 2003 i just sold to get this one, i'm stumped.
