Jesse Jackson wields his power again...

Locally, a local morning news station WBBM 780 AM (news radio) had a morning personality (if you want to call her that) named Felicia Middlebrooks.  Over the past month or so, Felicia waged a campaign against CBS/WBBM over increasing her pay as she felt it her cause "to make a statement for women and minorities" (BTW, she's black and a woman..in case you didn't catch that) and that she felt she was more a morning personality rather than a morning news reader.  As such, her pay should be commensurate with that of a morning personality.

WBBM gave her a contract with a little more $$$ but evidently it wasn't enough.  So she started a letter writing campaign to WBBM carting the "minority" and "female" cards.

WBBM went back, revised her contract adding a little more, presented it to her and gave her a deadline of last Thursday to accept or deny the offer.  She denied.

OK, so we're at the point now where Felicia has declined effectively relinquishing her position, WBBM then went and was planning to move another female news anchor (Kris Kridel) up to the morning slot, and revise Pat Cassidy's (Felicia's morning co-anchor) contract.

Well over the weekend, the all-mighty Rev. Jesse Jackson contacted WBBM's GM and talked them into extending the deadline until he talked to Felicia  and asked her to reconsider.  He called Felicia and basically "bitch slapped" her over the phone and told her to reconsider.  She did, and as of yesterday she was back on the air as morning co-anchor with the second revised contract that was drafted (that she originally refused).

What boils me over is that;

A) Jesse Jackson poked his nose in AGAIN!!!

B) Because of Jesse, she is back on the air in her old spot

C) Who speaks for Kris Kridel and Pat Cassidy who were now promised new things now that Felicia CHOSE to refuse their offer?

It isn't just me, all the talk shows on the radio here are talking about it and shaking their heads.

Unfrigginbelievable!

I am so SICK of everyone being some sort of a victim, and everyone complaining about being equal (that is unless of course they can use there race/gender for leverage)

Jackson needs to shut his pie hole, find himself a little church somewhere and be a reverend. If he really his one. Or try and help all of mankind not just the people with black skin.

I believe it came out that he really "technically" isn't a true reverend but a reverend from his actions.   :lookaround:

I don't think I'm ready to reply about that man. Or should I say, he's not worthy of my reply. He needs to just GO AWAY! Nuf said.

And to think, Il., We're not safe anywhere!!

I'll find my rock now.

Here's another thought Brother MXR. Maybe Felicia was coaxed into taking that second offer to help our dear Rev. pay that child support.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE CHILDREN!!    :)

Jesse Exposed

I think he is starting to lose the black community he had a stronghold on, so he is trying to start up more stuff to get his name back in the news.  I enjoyed hearing and reading how Charles Barkley came out and said that Jesse isn't helping the blacks like he thinks he is, he's hurting them badly.
