Your truck, (being it's 2wd) probably already has the stock 3.42's or the optional 3.73's...

If you are looking for better acceleration, and if you already have the 3.42's, then you would want to go to 3.73's or possibly 4.10's.

well i just looked up the RPO... and i have the 3.73's already in it (GT4)..... soooooo, since that is what is in it, i'll just have to to go up to 4.10's!... dang.

I would set my rev limiter at 5900 or 6000. Raise your shift points by 2-5 mph to acheive a 5700-5800 rpm shift. 3-4 shift is way up there (125 mph or so) so I wouldn't boost it much.

TOG makes the best headers that I am aware of.

i had raised it to 5900 at one point, but when i went to drive it, and floored it for WOT the needle went passed 6000 and it made the motor hiss back at me, because i guess i hit to high on the gauge. i if i do 5900 i suppose i'll just have to let off a little so it can shift on its own....

what does TOG stand for?

I believe it stands for "The Other Guys" headers. Check out TBYRNE Motorsports under the preffered vendors in the left column of your screen. He sells all types of Headers... including "The Other Guys".
