Rear axle swap

Hey guy am new at this so I have a 2010 gmc sierra 2500hd Duramax and I need to put a new axle. My truck has the gt4 g80 jl4 11.5 ring gear and the rear speed sensos. Now can I put a rear axle that doesn't have the speed sensor what would happen.

  Ha!! So GM Customer service, ive already been talking with someone on your email team and there is nothing they can do. So pretty consistent with everyone else’s experience- you can do NOTHING.. worthless emails. Sure glad i have 4 GM cars on our family cuz now its clear you dont care.. Sad and pathetic.
