SS exhaust?

Just wondering but whats the difference between the reg silverado exhaust and the SS? I seen a black SS yesterday and i really like the sound and looks of the exhaust. Is this something i could get my hands on?

I don't know what GM uses on the production ex-cab model. I did find , however, in an issue of Sport Truck (July, 2003) the article they did on the concept single cab model.

 

Specs found in the article:

 

-Fabricated 2.5-inch-diameter exhaust system

-Edelbrock RPM mufflers

-Brushed aluminum rectangular tailpipes

 

There is also an article in this issue on the production model but all it says is "The exhaust system for Silverado SS is a 3.5 inch single pipe setup with a throaty rumble."

It has dual 3" in and dual 2 1/2" out into single 4". Some of the people on silveradoss.com have remove there's you may be able to pick one up.

Is that black and red bowtie on your grille the real deal, or is it a photo edit?

 

I've been looking for one of them since I got my truck, but can't find one. Thought about having a stock one air brushed at the place in the mall, but not sure yet. I had on off of a 454SS on my '91 Silverado, and loved it.
