Truck shuts down on takeoff

When I takeoff in my truck from a dead stop it acts like it huts off for just a a minute and then picks back up can also hear  small back fir  tried a different mass air flow sensor  and truck has headers  also truck will show generic code fr the mass air flow sensor  the mechanic said it could be the mass air flow sensor or the tps either one but a friend said he went thru the same trouble only to end up replacing his fuel pump truck runs fine any other time any one have similar troubles
