Is it like right above the stairs so when you walk down to almost the bottom step it is straight up about 15' or so? One way would be to run a long plank out from the top stair and run a step ladder from the lower stair to meet the plank and and make your own scafle. spelling is off, Not sure how your stair well is arranged so that would be the best bet. If it makes sense to you. Also I would go with a florecent bulb. The new ones that fit into incandecent lights. they look like springs or long tubes bent over. I put those all through out the house. Use less electricity and last a ton longer than a regular bulb. You can get a package of 4 at Sam's club for I think $17.

Hope that helps.

You better be carefull. Changing lightbulbs is very dangerous. Be sure to turn of the power and to make sure that your ladder is on a flat surface.

OK Guys I have to be honest here. This is a true story but not. Last weekend my buddy asked me if I could try and help him fix his lights up at the top of the stairs. I am 6'3" and he is like 5'5" Well we had to get up there and take the cover off so I leaned over the edge of the top stair to reach it. I barley cought the cover. Well then he had the extension and the bulbs were so old they were stuck and we broke the bulbs from the screw peices. So how the heck are we gonna reach up there? We can't use the latter and wood idea cause the ceiling is in the way. It over hangs the first few steps. Keep in Mind I had a few in me. Well My friend (Chris) has the good idea to have me stand on an old computer case. So I say OK. Well I was able to reach and I had to use Needle Nose Pliers and twist them out. Got them out and put the new bulbs in. Then the globe on. And I never fell. So that is how I did it.

Now the whole reason for me putting this post up was cause I was hoping you all would have read the post "How Members does it take to screw in a lightbulb" Post. And take off from there. I was tring to be funny but I failed. Tahnks for the good info though. I do plan on getting those flurecent bulbs though. They work really good.

Peace out,

Brandon
