Self Adusting T-Bars

I've had my new silverado about two months now, it's an 03. I've noticed over the last few weeks my ride was getting rougher and the front end was sinking. Over this last weekend I climbined underneath to check it out. the first thing I noticed was the a-arm was resting on the up travel bumpstop. Then I looked at the t-bar bolts and there was a ring of grease about 6 threads away from the threaded tab. I got out the tape measure and I was about a quarter inch low on the one side. I cranked the bolts back in to the grease ring, six turns on the driver, five turns on the passenger. Now the truck is sitting like it was new and my nice ride is back.

I just thought I would share this story with you guys and was wondering if anybody has had this happen to them. I'm keeping an eye out for it to happen again but I think this whole thing is odd that it happened. I've never heard of this before.

I've noticed my front end sunk some too. So if you put it back where it used to be, does it need to be aligned....or would it need aligned if you didn't adjust it back up because it sunk down. What does everyone think?

If you know how high the front end was when new and return it to that height you should not need a realignment unless something else happened.

My pside t-bar has sunk and I recranked it to match the dside. Don't anticipate an alignment.

I had mine cranked/aligned about a month ago, and I have noticed that it isn't sitting as high as it was the day I got it done. Interesting...I just thought it was my imagination. Maybe i'll take it back and have them fix..
