"why would you need this on while driving"..... Have none of you used your trucks to haul cargo?  Do you live in a downtown flat and park in a parking garage?  Late night drive in the woods on your property during hunting season?  I think it would be responsible of a truck owner to ensure his cargo is secure at all times, including a quick on/off driving 65mph down I-65. Next time let's reply with solutions to the problem and let us free birds be free to turn on exterior illumination as Clark Grizwald (sp?) fought so hard to teach us.
