JAF1 Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 Just got done putting on the first coat of wax. Lets just say I'm ready for a bug guard. I did some research and see that there are a lot of vendors. I also see some people had to restick down their windshield molding due to the new air flow. What folks recommend? I was thinking of just getting an OEM product (wonder who makes it for them?) but wanted some feedback first. Due to the different design I really want to here form the '03 people. Thanks!
greyghost03 Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 I have a bug shield made bu Lund on mine. I don't know the part # or name of the model though. My uncle worked at the dealership where I bought my truck and had it installed before I picked it up and said Merry Christmas (bought my truck Dec 20). I can, however, tell you that this bug shield is causing the noise in the upper windshield molding and one of these days I will seal it down to fix the prob. Click the link in my sig for pics.
chevy2000 Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 I have the 3-D carbon fiber look bug sheild and matching vent visors on my truck. Occasionally I get the wind noise, but it isn't too bad. I went for the carbon fiber look because I wanted something different. Everyone has the "black" bug guards. You could do a painted to match bug guard, those look good as long as the colors match!
Guest PheaturePhreak Posted August 13, 2003 Posted August 13, 2003 I am bought this one Here It also created the window noise but is easily fixed with molding tape. Peace PP
