2018 Silverado 1500 2wd Custom

Good Day,

Just wanted to say hello and ask a couple questions.

So My truck before this was a 2015 silverado 1500 with a 2.5 level kit i had 20 in rims with 275/60/20

the 1st question is I am hoping to put the same rim and tires on this truck. Although i would prefer a little taller tire im told i won't be able to unless i do a 6 in lift , is this true ?

I have a tuff country 4 in lift order and should be here this week. not fully understanding all this stuff yet will the current rims and tires fit with this lift cause the rim place told me no the offset from the 2015 and 2018 are different. Also will a taller tire fit running the 4in lift?

Second is can't get over how quiet this truck is. My last truck after putting a magna flow muffler on i had to remove one of the three cats just to hear it. would i need to do the same on this truck in your opinion?

Thanks so much sorry if these are dumb questions just learning my way through it and not having much luck finding good info on the 2018

I have attached picture of the last one (black) and new one (silver)

Yes that is max you can hope for without problems you may get 32.5 if you have the aluminum UCA  ,

Its weird, the black with chrome running boards and the silver new truck with black step bars switch those and the black '15 was a keeper

That’s what I figured thanks for the reply.

Yeah Black truck had almost 100k miles had to go. I picked the new one cause it had the bars and no chrome.  I do miss the leather interior but I’ll deal some nice I don’t have all that chrome

Those wheels and tires should fit fine with the 4" lift. I imagine you should be able to go larger too.

As for the exhaust. I have a 6.2, swapped the muffler out for a 3.5" borla. Could barely hear it inside the truck. Sounded nearly stock. Cut the resonator out and put a straight 3.5" pipe in its place and it came alive. Then cut the side exit off so it s dumped after the axle and it's just plain mean sounding now. I absolutely love the way this truck sounds.

A little bigger would be nice the tires I have seem little small for a 4 in lift, but I have been told to use 35’s I’d have to cut the  front bumper and not sure I want to do that.
