Front suspension

I have a brand new 2wd 1500HD crew cab silverado, and the lower a-arms touch the yellow bump stops while sitting on level ground without anyone in it. It isn't setting on them very hard because you can still wiggle the bump stops a little but they are definately touching. I was curious if this was normal and if not could this be causing the truck to ride like it has flat spots on the tires. When asked about the ride the dealer told us that it was normal and would smooth out as the tires and suspension broke in. Thanks in advance for any info or advice.

I can't remember for sure, but do the 1500HD's have torsion bars? I can never remember if the 2wd HD frames have t-bars or not. :P

If so, you could try cranking them up a little bit so the bump stops are not touching, then see if the ride smooths out a little more. If you crank them up a lot, it's advisable to get an alignment.
