I have a 2009 GMC sierra 1500, 5.3L. When I turn the key to the crank position, the engine cranks over, but will not fire. When I release the key to the on position, the starter continues to crank the motor over until I turn the key to the off position. I have replaced the battery, the starter, and the ignition switch. No change. I sprayed starter fluid into the intake and still no fire.  Where do I go from here?

GM has had the feature where the engine would crank until it starts after you let go of the key for nearly 20 years now.  Have you checked to see if there are any trouble codes?  You should put the wallet down until you check some basics.  First, turn the key on, and listen for the fuel pump.  If you hear it, you should check the pressure.  If you have fuel, check and see if you have spark at the plug end of the wire.

I think you likely have a fuel pump issue, check it out with a volt meter before replacing it blindly.

If it won't fire on something flammable, you probably have no spark. Crank sensor would be my area of focus in that case.

Only other thing that will cause a no-start on a modern vehicle with fuel present besides spark, is low compression, or incorrect valve timing. That is a very high probability given the model year, and engine in your truck. If your at 90k or north, I'd be checking compression before anything else on this model.
