2008 Hummer H2 Fuel Pump Question

I am working on putting a gas tank emissions can and new fuel pump in a 2008 H2 which was removed before  I got the vehicle. My question is on the fuel pump which is apparently unique to the 2008 H2 there is a connection off of the 1/2" vent connector on the fuel pump I am trying to figure out if something connects to it or if it is another vent? It is not a connection that matches any of the standard GM fuel supply, return or vent connector. My thought is that nothing hooks to it and it is just a vent but do not want to put the tank in and have to remove it again.
