HELP Brake light

2007 Silverado newer body style.  My 3rd brake light bulbs werent working but the two white cargo lights were.  All 4 bulbs are the same so I swapped the brake light bulbs with the cargo light bulbs.  That didn't fix the problem, all 4 bulbs light in the cargo light sockets but none in the brake light sockets.  So I figured it was the harness or connector that was bad.  I ordered a aftermarket replacement that is a sealed off led version.  It's supposed to function like the OEM version.  The middle red lights aren't working still but the white ones do.  Must be wiring from the connector into the truck somewhere.  Need it fixed for expired inspection ?
