Headlight bulb swap

So, my 2017 2500HD did not come with HID's so I bought a kit with wiring harness and capacitors. However, during the day when my lights are off they are flickering and as of today only one is flickering and the other on, but on my dash it says my lights are off! keep in mind there are no DRL's on my truck that I am aware of. So I figured I would bypass all that wiring and extra stuff and get the HID's that just plug in like a regular bulb like the D5S or similar but I am not sure if they will work. When I look them up they say they will fit on my truck if it is equipped with HID's, not sure if this means I can use them or are there GM vehicles that come set up (wiring) to handle HID's? Help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
