Painting handles

Ok, has anyone taken a shot at paitning handles on thier own?? Will this yield a crappy product because it wasnt sprayed at a GM body shop? Any input would be appreciated!

My buddy across the street did mine with his spray gun Anybody with even minimal paint skills should be able to do that for you
