A couple folks asked me to put together a spot for them to post their movie reviews.  The writing isn't the best but I think I did a pretty good job with the site...: )  break my own arm patting my back.  Now it's time to start getting some traffic.

ever since geocities ate one of my sites i have just been using word pad.  i taught myself html, it's not too hard after you get the hang of it, the key to it is copy and paste.  the advantages of word pad is that you can have plenty of easy to change copies of your site.

 

i also use templates (pre-made sites that you use as a foundation to build yours off of), there are lots of sites that have them for free.

that site looks great, the layout is very visually appealing.

 

I use notepad for my site, at least until I get a bit more skilled in some of the macromedia software.  But, everyone should learn how to use HTML before they jump into software that'll do it for them.

I agree.  I learned using notepad for the longest time before finally moving on to Adobe GoLive about 3 years ago and now mostly Dreamweaver or Homesite.  I feel all should learn the hard way but then realize that these other great tools can save you hours of time writing the same basic img tags etc.......But with any of the tools you will always need to know enough to get into the code and tinker for the exact results you are looking for.
