3.42 or 3.73

I bought a used Yukon and the dealer told me it had 3.73 gears. My speedometer and SOTP say 3.42. Isn't the axle code buried in the VIN somewhere? What letter denotes which axle ratio?

Look at the sticker in your glovebox, a GT4=3.73 and GU6=3.42
