How did they get 6

The parents need to be JAILED. There is absolutely NO reason why SIX kids should be on an ATV. None at all. And there is certainly NO REASON for them to be on a public road. Good parenting is really going down the drain.

What kills me (no pun intended) is the fact that they are pressing charges against the driver of the car....Must be more to the story or something because I would think that "operating an unauthorized vehicle on a public road (in an unsafe manner) might make for a valid argument in court.

They say that the driver of the car had crossed the center line....As long as she was sober, I bet she was probably trying to avoid the crazy 4-wheeler with an entire tribe of children on it.

Agreed. Probably angry parents trying to press charges to redirect blame.

People, WATCH YOUR d**n KIDS!

Kids are only as good ass what the parents let them get away with.

I admit I got an ATV when I was 6 but I was told to stay away from the road, and I did.

That happens here all the time it seems. But its even worse, its usually about 4 kids and a parent???? That actually gives all ATV riders a bad reputation because when you get alot of kids or even more than one person on an ATV and someone wrecks and gets hurt or killed people start saying stuff about making ATVs Illegal and such. We here in WV have a large number of ATV crashes and deaths per year and thats all you hear about is ATV laws and stuff. But I dont think people realize that nearly all of those accidents involve someone under the recommended age posted on the ATV or more than one person on the ATV. I am not against making laws for ATVs I am for it but not for making laws restricting where we ride, but make the restrictions based on the factors that contribute to the crash. Such as giving fines for people carrying passnegers and for children under the ATV recommended age except with parent supervision.(I know most kids are too big for those little ATVs by the time they are 16, I know I was). I personally believe that those 2 topics will cut the death rate in half or even better. Not saying you cant wreck and get hurt or killed with just one passneger wearing a helmet and everything, it happens, but it just doesnt happen near as often here as it happens with children. Sorry for the rant guys, just got going and couldnt stop!

Kids on 4 wheelers was the norm in my old subdivision south of Jackson, MS. Seeing 3 or 4 kids on a 4 wheeler was not out of the question. There was one family, who let their daughter drive an old 3 wheeler, with passengers. The child could not of been over 8.

Everyday you would see kids on a 4 wheeler, and most of the time the driver could not reach the pedels without getting off the seat. The parents did not care, and there was no talking to them. I was told by one neighbor, "Ther're in the neighborhood, its safe for them to ride it. Its not like they are on the interstate". I did call the sheriff on them, but unless the sheriff caught them, nothing was ever done.

I am thankful that more children are not killed on those due to stupid parents.

Today's moto.

Accountability is over. You can always blame someone else.

My friends and I ride four wheelers on the roads near our houses', but we don't have more than 2 people on them. That is stupid to overload them. They are safe as long as you know how do drive them. The driver should not be charged, but the parents should be for neglect.

from being with 4 wheelers all my life from riding a honda 300 4x4 to owning a 400scrambler when i was ten . then to own a 300ex and now a 400ex ...

i dont see 4 wheelers are dangours i remember when i had my friends over we would ride 3 on the 4 wheeler the smallest one on the gas tank and the responsible one on the back holding on to the person in the middle... we didnt climb any step hills of course just rode in are field....

the only people who give 4 wheelers the bad name is the people who cant ride worth a d**n and drink and dont wear a helmet ... i can careless how old a child is cause i go to a motocross track and there are small little kids on small little dirtbikes and 4 wheelers that are getting up through with no promblems !! there fast little farts and i wish i wias that good when i was growing up!!

but when someone dies it shouldnt be a time to poiint fingers!!! i would think theyere allready feeling bad~!!! if they didint love their kids they wouldnt have bought them a 4 wheeler cause those things are expensive for what they are! i paid 6 grand for mine but i got the 4 year warranty.

anyhow when stuff like this happens you better off to pray insteaad of pointing fingers ..

Age does have something to do with it. Often times an 8 or 9 year old just can't determine a good idea from a bad idea like an adult can when riding an ATV. It is a bad idea no matter what to put more people on the ATV than is recommended.

Also, $$$ does not equal love, not in the least bit, and that ATV may have belonged to the parents. If the parents were truely concerned about the well-being of those kids, they would never had let them ride 6 at a time on the ATV. That is a bad decision that resulted in a terrible accident that could have been easily avoided.

    • Fred was in the fertilized egg business. He had several hundred young pullets, and ten roosters to fertilize the eggs He kept records, and any rooster not performing went into the soup pot and was replaced. This took a lot of time, so he bought some tiny bells and attached them to his roosters. Each bell had a different tone, so he could tell from a distance, which rooster was performing. Now, he could sit on the porch and fill out an efficiency report by just listening to the bells. Fred's favourite rooster, old Butch, was a very fine specimen, but this morning he noticed old Butch's bell hadn't rung at all! When he went to investigate, he saw the other roosters were busy chasing pullets, bells-a-ringing, but the pullets, hearing the roosters coming, would run for cover. To Fred's amazement, old Butch had his bell in his beak, so it couldn't ring. He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk on to the next one. Fred was so proud of old Butch, he entered him in the City Show and he became an overnight sensation among the judges. The result was the judges not only awarded old Butch the "No Bell Piece Prize," but they also awarded him the "Pulletsurprise" as well. Clearly old Butch was a politician in the making. Who else but a politician could figure out how to win two of the most coveted awards on our planet by being the best at sneaking up on the unsuspecting populace and screwing them when they weren't paying attention. Vote carefully in the next election, you can't always hear the bells.
    • Can someone confirm if the GM order workbench terminal is able to validate a custom build sequence:   1) Initialize the Allocation Base: Open a new vehicle build queue, select the 2026 Chevrolet Suburban 4WD, and pick the High Country (3LZ Preferred Equipment Group).   2) Select the Diesel Powertrain: Go directly to the engine configuration screen and choose RPO code LZ0 (3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel). Ensure it maps to the MHS 10-speed automatic transmission.   3) Deploy the Seating Swap: Navigate to the Interior Options screen and enter RPO code ATT to replace the standard captain's chairs with the power-release 60/40 bench seat. Because you are not trying to force a separate luxury or air-suspension bundle, the standard, premium D07 Fixed Floor Console remains active. The system will accept this change immediately without triggering a warning message.   3)Apply Heavy-Duty Hauling Capability: Input RPO code NHT (Max Trailering Package). The commercial terminal will automatically bundle the required trailering hardware and software modules to support the diesel engine's maximum towing capacity.   5) Layer the Premium Tech and Glass: Separately add code C3U (Panoramic Power Sunroof) and code UKL (Super Cruise) to the order screen.   6) Run the Final Validation: Click the "Validate Order" button at the bottom of the interface.
    • Spent the last hour or 2 googling and reading up on the spacer thing. I don't like the loss of thread contact on the slip on spacers, but it appears you can get "extended" lug nuts that reach into the hole of the wheel to get back the lost threads. Looks like the only true hubcentric slip on spacers are at least .375". I'd want as little as I could get away with and don't want to cause other clearance issues going any thicker. Bora seems to offer what appears to be a well made .375" spacer and extended lug nuts. I searched here and did find a couple threads recommending Bora. But not cheap. By the time I buy spacers and lugs, new TPMS sensors, then pay a tire shop to install the new sensors, I suspect I'm going to be in over $400. Thinking about running out and getting some washers to put behind the wheel to see if .375" is enough to clear calipers, turn lock to lock without rubbing, and to see if the wheels/tires look strange pushed out a little. This would just be to check fitment.
    • Roadmaster makes some quality parts; I have their sway bar. I considered the RAS, but I ended up bagging. I didn't know what kind of ride I'd get with RAS, and the bags have interior jounce bumpers, so I can run 0 pounds pressure. I figured I'd have the best of normal suspension ride with assist on-demand. But it seems you got pretty much the same in one item.
