Are after market air intakes worth the money?

I think so. I have the K&N FIPK installed in my Sierra.

Yeah... I seem to think they are worth it. I have a K&N on my Silverado. Lets the engine actually breathe.

What kind of truck and engine? On the old TBIs I have found that at least the K&N FIPK is not worth the money. This was tested with a '95 K1500 350 TBI with NV4500 manual.

My only experience is with pre '96 pre Vortec TBIs.

I would reccomend the k&N fipk as well

Sorry about that I have a 2001 sierra with a 5.3L.

I just bought a hypertech for it. I won't really have a lot of time to check it out. We got our first snow on Sat. That's Alaska for you.

Yes, anything you do to help the engine breathe better is good. At the least, you could put in a K&N drop-in filter.

I have had K&N FIPK's and now I have a Volant on the Escalade, and yes they make a difference in performance.
