What do you need for the trailering app

What service is needed on truck to use the trailering app on your phone?

 

Will it work with just Bluetooth or do you need WIFI or one of the OnStar packages?

 

TIA for any ideas.

The Trailering App is built in the radio.  There is an icon on the dashboard.

 

If there is any control via a smartphone of the trailering functions (lights check, etc.), it would be interfaced in the brand specific My Chevrolet/My GMC apps from either the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Thanks, Just didn't know if you needed OnStar to use the phone app remotely
