2013 Base WT, Viper 5701 install

Hello everyone, I am seeking any good guidance that can be given. I have a 2013 base model, Single Cab Chevy Silverado. Again the truck is bare bones, manual door locks and manual windows. I am wanting to install a Viper 5701 on the truck. I have been professionally educated in the electrical field, I do own a DMM and know how to use it. I have NOT installed a remote start before, so i'm have trouble deciphering the wiring harness from viper. I have pulled a couple different wiring sheets for the truck but they do not line up 100%. At this time i am looking to install just the remote start and alarm system. The door locks will be done at a later date.

Granted you have a base model WT, you will want to get a integration module to integrate your security(transponder key) and to make the wiring easier for you as well. The integration  module will make the wiring 5x easier. Idatalink makes a good module, viper/dei has a module but you can not flash the firmware your self without a sign in. Best bet is ask a install shop near you if they would sell you one and flash the firmware for your 2013wt. And go from there. Check out Idatalinks web site to get a heads up on what your dealing wiff.

Thank you for the advice, I had already planned on picking up a flashed model from a dei retailer. At this point I'm having them install as well, $150 in labor isn't bad, and I'll have the confidence of the system being installed by an authorized retailer.
