coolant and engine service codes

Hey, just bought this sweet 2000 GMC 2500HD for 17k, but the coolant code is on and now the service code just poped up. Any way to get these off?

If it says "low coolant", check your coolant level and add some if it needs it. I have not seen the service code yet.

Thanks BOB, I added last night when I bought a K&N filter for my truck......d**n did that change alot!...........Time to pick on some dodges here where I live.

Also I was incorrect on service code, the "service engine" light came on.

Did the "low coolant" light go off when you added coolant?

 

If not you may have a faulty coolant level sensor.

No it didnt go out. Is there a way to troubleshoot it to make sure its the sensor?
