Torn Grease Boots

I have recently noticed a creaking sound when I turn the truck while moving slow. I looked over the suspension last night and noticed that my pitman (or idler) are grease boot is torn... bad

 

In order to replace this, does the dealer have to replace the whole tie rod assembly or can they just replace the boot?

If the boot is torn, and you're hearing it make sounds, then chances are it's bad anyway.
