2012 Silverado seat swap

I have 2012 Silverado 1500 regular cab with black cloth seats with air bags in them. I just bought gray vinyl seats to replace them but they do not have air bags so the dash is always saying there is a problem with the air bag system. I would like to have the dash air bags still working with no warnings flashing at me. Is there a way to bypass only the seat air bag part of the system.

Use a meter to measure the resistance on the monitor circuit on the airbag or self. Obtain a resistor that matches the impedance, install the resistor into the harness side of the circuit.

I just did this, I measured the seat airbag  resistance mine was 02.4 ohms, I bought a adjustable resistor and metered it to adjust to the 2.4 and  connected it, all works good. I changed the seats because the 2011 truck must have been owned by 10 smokers, the seats smelled,had burn holes and were worn.

What connector or connectors are what under the seat? I have a black connector and a yellow one. Also where did you get the resistor? Thanks
