Speaker issues

I’ve got an 04 GMC Sierra 1500 crew cab my grunt speaker work and the rears don’t. I pulled off the speakers in the rear and they weren’t even plugged in. I tried plugging in speakers I know work and nothing. Any suggestions before I start tearing apart wiring

check wiring behind radio, easy to do. Pop trim panel, easy access to mounting screws

Measure resistance on good speakers and compare to bad. Hook speakers up and confirm resistance via the wire harness at the radio.
