2016 transmission issues

hey guys, my 2016 silverado LT with the 6 speed trans just went at 130k. My torque converter , trans pump and transmission all went out, my buddy who works at a neighbor dealer said that they've had 6 this year already with transmission problems. my question is, is that 2016 the only year with a terrible trans or did i just get dealt a bad hand and get one with a bad trans

It's the luck of the draw with transmissions. They only made hundreds of thousands of these 6 speed auto's.

 

Getting 130k is pretty good, perhaps a tad sooner than you'd like but not much you can do right now. Hope for a good rebuild and another 100-150k+ miles of trouble free driving.
