Air bag stickers

Hi all I'm new to the group,but have been checking it out for some time now. I just bought a 2003 Silverado 1500 2WD with Z85 on 30 Sept. I was wondering if any of you with the '03's have removed the air bag stickers on the visors and how you did it?

is it on the mirror cover or fabric? If it's the mirror just warm it up a bit and pull it off (use some warm water to remove adhesive). If it's on the fabric I wouldn't recommend trying to remove it. A decal company makes some nice chevy stickers that fit perfectly over it, but I can't think of the name of the company. I could try to dig up a link for you if you want to go that way.

Any hair dryer to remove them (even on the fabric). Heat them until you can just start to peel them off and then HEAT THEM FOR TWO MINUTES MORE. The two minutes more minimises the residue.

Those stickers are really silk-screened (or whatever) right onto the fabric of my 01 Tahoe. I took an xacto knife and tried to lift up an edge then found that out, I was able to slightly scratch the ink/paint slightly off one corner to see how it might come off but it looks pretty much impossible unless you want to spend a hundred or so hours of teeny tiny scraping.

However, on my 00 Grand Prix the stickers (both on the plastic visor mirror and fabric) did peel right off, go slow though.
