Cut out valance for Western Ultramount

I just had a Western Ultramount install on my 2019 Silverado 2500 HD Duramax. The installer did a nice neat cutout for the receiving pockets but I noticed the center part of the valance under the truck is just tie rapped up with 2 loose large tie raps on each end. The license plate area just flaps around with no support from underneath. I guess I'll have to fabricate some kind of support bracket. Any suggestions? It sure would be a flapper on the parkway at 80 mph. It looks like a few pieces missing under there. I wouldn't know what they were but I'll look on another truck to see. Anyone else run into this? I see there is a valance for Boss plows. This truck is my first Chevy. Always had F350's with Boss plows. Sure do miss the height of the Ford. Good thing I can remove the receiving brackets or I wouldn't be taking this truck surf fishing. That's another topic!

I'd take it back and have them fix it properly.

I have a 17 denali HD with a western plow.  Ill take pics and send you this weekend, but pretty sure mine is like that and no issues of it flapping.  If you look at the Western Install that is how they tell you to do it.  Have had multiple GMC plow trucks with western ultramounts and never an issue up front.  Go look on the western plow site for the install and see what the directions show.

Hey.

ive a 2021 Silverado 2500 crew cab high country duramax. Western says remove lower bumper skirt and after looking at it, it seems I need to cut out for the ultra mount frame as the skirt is part of side of bumper and the cold weather plug is located in the side of this.

does anyone have a better pics of their trucks in my year range with the ultra mount installed???
