but wish you had.  For me it's The Scorpions.  I had FRONT ROW Seats for their concert but they CANCELLED and didn't reschedule!  I'm still bummed about that to this day. Everytime I hear a Scorpions tune I'm reminded of what I missed.

My pick, even though it's gonna date my musical relevance:  The Beatles.  Now half of them are gone!!

I count my lucky stars - I got to see Stevie Ray Vaughn when he opened for the Stones in Wisconsin in 1989 I think it was.  Not long before he died there.    

 

Boy he was good!!!  Actually so were the Stones - they played pretty hard for 2+ hours.

 

It's sad how many great musicians we've lost to plane crashes!

Stevie Ray Vaughn

Oh Man, that hurts.

He was one of the greatest.

I was fortunate enough to see one of his last concerts a couple of months before he died.  No one has mentioned Van Halen.  After the Gary Cherone days, the group has sort of faded out. ???

Hey Deadheads!!

 

All the surving members are reuniting for a couple shows in Wisconsin in August.  They're playing together and each one is playing sets with their side projects too.  If I was a little closer I'd definately go, if for no other reason than to see Phil & Friends.

I like Chris Duarte a lot, but I'm with Elwood on this one, there just is no substitute for the real thing.  Early Johnny Lang used the Stevie sound too.
