Gibson SuperTruck Exhaust

In the midst of trying to find the right exhaust system myself. So far from what I have learned, most systems will offer a HP gain (at least on the high end) and better MPG, so yes, they do make a difference. Probably one of the biggest debates right now is which mufflers produce a high end gain w/o losing the low end. Many state that Magnaflow is the best for this, and consequently might provide a better "performance" edge over some of the other mufflers available. As previously noted, I'm still searching for a good exhaust and consequently haven't personally tested the Magnaflow, but have gotten opinions of other forum members here that I value as true.

As far as sound, you can do just about anything you want from relatively quiet to obnoxiously loud. Most people like to hear there exhaust when getting on it and when idling, but don't like to listen to it echo as you're cruising 75+ down the highway. It just really depends on the type of muffler you get, and the type of configuration you run (a plethora of options exist).

But IMO, all the headache to sort out the info and make a good decision will pay off later down the road. Nothing beats the satisfaction of gaining a few more ponies, while making your beast sound even more powerful.
