So I had recently put in a new transmission from monster transmissions with a new torque converter. It only goes up to 15 mph then the wheels come to a coasting stop while maintaining the same rpms what could be my issue?

So, you shift into drive, then hit the gas and release the brake, the truck speeds up to about 15 mph, then the engine just disconnects from the rear wheels and you roll to a stop?

First, are you sure the transmission fluid level is correct (at least the cold level check, as it sounds like you won't be able to get the transmission warm enough to do the proper warm check).

Second, perhaps use a code reader that can get codes from the transmission and see if that finds anything.

Do you have a hand held tuner. The last one I had when I was programming the max speed limits I hit 15. I meant 15 over the shut off. It shut down at 15. There I am sitting on the side of the road doing the reprogramming thing. Embarrassing.
