I have a '01 Silverado extra-cab shortbed. Ordered with the dash-controlled electronic shock absorbers. Will installing 2-inch lowering shackles harm the electronic shocks due to the shock-rod being 2 inches deeper into the shock-body? Also will the factory warranty be history? Who knows how much these shocks cost! Also would like an opinion on the advantage of the Superchips reprogrammer as compared to the Hypertech system. As I understand it the Hypertech works only under wide-open-throttle while the Superchips runs at all throttle-psitions; fuel-curve, trans-shifting, timing-advance, etc.

I will only comment on the chips, their are a number of options that will affect your performance:

1. HPP3 Thread in progress

2. Superchips, supposed to be broader tuning, suggest that you search ls1.com and ls1tech.com for info, fairly mixed reviews.

3. Jet Performance chips, been around awhile, check them out.

4. Re-programmers, a more severe approach.

5. LS1Edit, a very severe approach.
