Factory motorized step squeal

Howdy all,

 

My 2016 has factory power steps.  The driver's side squeals when moving (passenger side does not...and is used less often).  

From the minor disassembly I did I know the noise is is the bushings* located on the step itself.  

I've had no luck searching YouTube/etc for solutions...Anyone have any advice?  I searched here as well and didn't find a related thread.  

 

I didn't want to disassemble any further until I had some idea what I was up against and had the replacement parts on hand if needed.  There are so many

after market power steps that I struggle to find much info on the factory versions.

 

* I believe they are bushings but didn't take it part far enough to confirm they're not bearings.
