More "old" music

Hey, Anybody here remember The Band (up on cripple creek, the weight)?

I can't stop listening to their cds! (Mom's collection).

My favorite songs from them are Up on cripple creek, The Weight, The night they drove old dixie down, and Kingdom come.

Aother band in my mom's collection is Little Feat. I think they're famous for "Dixie Chicken". I also like "Willin".

Anybody else care to reminece(SP?).

I almost drove to Jacksonville last month to see Little Feat.

Ronnie van Zant's widow owns a bar at the Beach called " Free Bird's". They cater to local talent and old Southern Rock bands.

The Band was actually Bob Dlan's backing band at on point. I think they even called themselves the Roosters or something like that. They are awesome. They actually released a new CD a year or so ago, it's not bad. Another good song they did, that wasn't written by them was "Long Black Veil"

Little Feat is pretty cool. I also like Pure Prairie League, "Aimie" and "I'll Fix Your Flat Tire, Merle"

Allman Brothers were the best!! They rocked in their prime with Duane and Berry and they rock now!!

Does anyone remember KANO, specifically the song "Im ready"??
