Hard jump around 40mph

Recommended Posts

Hey y’all,

first post here but I got an issue. Had my 2009 Silverado for a long while now, we have been through it all. Not long ago had my afm fail on me on the georgia South Carolina border... since then I have noticed at around 40mph and light on the throttle I get some pretty hard jerks. Does not happen if I accelerate or decelerate. Also I have not noticed it when my cruise control is on. I have cleaned tb and maf. I just replaced tps since it is fairly cheap. Hoping I’m not running into a trans slip or tc. If any of y’all have experienced this please let me know

Welcome to the forum Josh.  When AFM failed, how was it repaired, what was replaced?

UPDATE- it does this between high 30’s to high 40’s. I have monitored my afm and it’s not going between v8/v4. I did have a trans flush about 2 years ago. Not lube and filter but the flush. Dealership wouldn’t even offer me lube and filter change and I’ve only heard horror stories about flush’s. Hopefully they didn’t mess up my trans
