Instrument Panel Dead but has Backlight

So drove the truck (2003 Silverado 1500HD) today in the morning everything lit up and worked fine. Today after work got in and the gauge cluster was dead but the back light still works aswell as the turn signals. Checked the ground that runs behind the block and its still good, I had fixed it previously. Checked the fuse for the gauge also and its good. Any ideas or other grounds to check? Or is the panel just dead at this point truck does has 234k miles on it. Thanks.
