i have a rattle in my pipes and i think its comming from the cat i took the lower heat sheild off but it didnt help which makes me think its some thing inside of it should i replase it and where can i get a good hi flow

I had the same issue. I ended up having my cat taken off and replaced it with one from Summit, a Catco. I was told all the honeycomb (or whatever it is) inside the cat had broken down and began to fall apart. It could eventually get blown into the muffler and plug it up.

this happened to a saturn we had on our car lot. It quit running and wouldn't start. we though tit was a fuel pump lol!

 

remember emissions parts have a long warranty on them maybe you can get it replaced for free or are you just using this as an excuse to get a high flow cat????
